Lock Does Not Connect to Gateway for the First Time

Steps to troubleshoot when a  33 Lock does not connect to a nearby gateway for the first time

When adding a new lock or gateway to the TTLock application, it may take up to 3-5 minutes for the pairing to take place. Pairing will occur automatically, and does not require you to have the pairing screen open to complete.

If you’ve onboarded a lock to the TTLock platform but it isn’t connecting to a previously added gateway, follow the steps below to troubleshoot:

  1. Confirm the gateway has been added to TTLock: Make sure the gateway is added to your TTLock account and appears in the app.

  2. Check that the gateway is online: Log in to the TTLock platform and verify that the gateway shows an online status.
If needed, follow the steps here to confirm gateway connectivity.

  3. Allow time for pairing: If a nearby gateway is online, wait 3–5 minutes for the newly onboarded lock to automatically pair with the gateway.
