Transfer Lock Ownership from Installer to Customer
This guide is for 3rd parties who are installing 33 Locks for customers, and onboarding these locks into the 33 Lock platform. As mentioned in the Administrator Overview, the account used to add lock(s) to the TTLock platform is the default lock Administrator/Owner.
Transferring lock ownership from installer to the customer
It’s recommended to transfer ownership of all locks once all locks are installed and added to the TTLock account.
- Transfer Locks (Administrator/Ownership) to another TTLock Account
- Transfer Gateways to another TTLock Account
Making the installer an Authorized Administrator
If the installer has an ongoing maintenance contract with the customer, the Installer will likely want continued access to the lock. In this case, once ownership is transferred, the customer must then make the Installer an Authorized Administrator.
