Steps to enable two-factor authentication
-
Select the lock you want to configure, then tap Settings.
-
Enable Two-Factor Authentication for the selected lock.
-
When a code is entered or the lock is remotely unlocked, the lock will announce “Please insert second administrator.”
-
A second administrator credential is required to complete the unlock.
If the lock unexpectedly requests a second administrator
-
This means Two-Factor Authentication is enabled for that lock.
-
Turn off Two-Factor Authentication in the lock settings to resolve the issue.
